Choosing this construction
Condition is a commercial and operational choice. A new pallet can offer a controlled specification; a used pallet can suit applications that accept the offered condition and construction. Either option needs appropriate treatment and marking where required by the movement.
Compare like-for-like acceptance criteria
Ask what condition, construction and inspection are included. Avoid treating broad trade grades as identical between suppliers. Explain if appearance, board gaps, cleanliness, moisture or automation tolerances matter to the receiving customer.
A practical specification example
For a one-off shipment, sorting a small batch may be manageable. For a high-throughput line, variation can create more work than the initial price saving. Compare the complete packing operation and customer acceptance, including what happens to rejected units.
Treatment and marking for the finished packaging
Tell us where the goods are being packed and their final destination. Include collars, blocking and other raw timber used with the base. Ask for the treatment and marking requirement to be confirmed for the offered construction. Neither entry type, footprint nor new condition is proof of ISPM 15 compliance. Changes after the packaging is supplied should be referred back to the responsible provider.
Request a quotation for the actual job
Send dimensions or a drawing, quantity, cargo weight and support points, handling method and delivery postcode. Add the packing deadline and unloading arrangements. Product design, supply, price and delivery are confirmed against the enquiry. You can contact the team directly; the optional brief builder is available if you want help organising those details.
